Privacy notice.

Gate of India respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we receive through this website and how we use it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What this website collects

This website does not store your personal information. The table request form runs entirely in your browser: when you tap Review my request, nothing is sent to us or saved on our server. Your details are shared with Gate of India only when you open WhatsApp and choose to send the prepared message.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

Information you send us on WhatsApp

When you message us, we receive your name, WhatsApp number and whatever you include in your message (for example your preferred date, time, number of guests, occasion and any dietary or accessibility notes). We use this only to:

• respond to your table, takeaway or group enquiry;
• confirm your booking and any arrangements for your visit.

We do not sell or share your information with third parties, and we will not send you marketing messages you did not ask for.

Third-party services

WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. The map on our homepage is provided by Google Maps, and Google’s privacy policy applies to it. Links to our Google reviews and Facebook page open those services’ own websites.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and enquiry messages only as long as needed to handle your request and our normal business records, and then delete them.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it. To do so, message us on WhatsApp. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
